The Graduate Division at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites faculty members and AGEP program coordinators nationwide to nominate advanced PhD students from historically underrepresented populations to attend the UCSF/AGEP Postdoc Bootcamp, September 21-22, 2009.
This event is sponsored by the National Science Foundation’s Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) in collaboration with the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA). The purpose of this two-day interactive workshop is to provide comprehensive information and practical strategies so the student can obtain the best possible Postdoc position.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
We invite you to nominate one to three advanced graduate students who meet the following criteria:

NOMINATION PROCESS
Students must be nominated by a faculty member OR by an AGEP Program Director/Coordinator. Nominations are due August 11, 2009. Completed forms must be emailed to jeannine.cuevas@ucsf.edu or faxed to 415/514-0844. Student should submit a short paragraph about their current research or possible future research as a postdoc (may be sent as an email attachment).
Round-trip travel to/from San Francisco, airport shuttle from/to SFO, and hotel accommodations (double-occupancy) will be paid for by UCSF/AGEP. Students will also be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner on both days of Bootcamp 9/21 and 9/22.
