UCSF ISIS Scholars are funded as follows: All fellows receive four years of support. In the first year, the PI provides funding. Years 2-4 are funded through the ISIS Fellowship (IRACDA). Compensation will follow the NIH NRSA scale. All UCSF ISIS Fellows receive the following benefits:
- Full medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, and workers compensation
- Funding to attend one scientific/professional meeting per year
- Expenses covered to attend the annual national IRACDA meeting each year
- $5,000 per year to cover research and lab supplies
- 20 days of time off per appointment year plus all observed holidays
- 12 days of sick leave per appointment year
- Child bearing, parental, and family and medical leave
- Jury and military leave
- Established Postdoc policy that includes a grievance procedure
- Membership in the Graduate Division Alumni Association after leaving UCSF
