Postdoctoral Scholar Travel Award (PDTA)

Please note: The PDTA has been renewed and applications are now being accepted again. (posted 3/20/09)

The Postdoctoral Scholar Travel Award (PDTA) is available only to UCSF Postdoctoral Scholars (in title codes 3252, 3253, and 3254). This is a one-time travel grant of up to $750 and may be used for travel to national or international scientific or professional meetings. Funds are awarded based on the significance of the conference to the Postdoc’s career advancement and require that the postdoc be presenting results (poster or platform session) at the meeting. Funds must be used for travel expenses that cannot be supported by resources within the department, the PI’s budget, or other sources of support (i.e. fellowships or grants awarded to Postdoc directly). A Postdoc may receive one award during his/her tenure at UCSF. Funds are awarded based on the application and budget submitted, up to a maximum of $750. Travel funds will be administered by the Graduate Division, and the total number of awards per year is based on the availability of funds. Download PDTA guidelines and an application. For more information about this award, please contact Jeannine Cuevas in the Postdoctoral Affairs Office: jeannine.cuevas@ucsf.edu or (415) 514-4852.
