Postdoctoral Scholars Association (PSA)

http://saawww.ucsf.edu/psa

The Postdoctoral Scholars Association (PSA) at UCSF was founded by postdoctoral scholars in 1995 and is one of the most active postdoctoral associations in the United States. The PSA continues to be led by postdoctoral scholars and promotes policies and programs that will foster a sense of community among all UCSF postdocs through social, educational, and political activities.

The UCSF Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, established in 2001, works collaboratively with the PSA to create a positive climate for Postdocs at UCSF. There are over 1,300 postdocs at UCSF, but only a handful are active in organizing PSA activities, such as the "Practice of Science" lecture series, Networking Dinners, and Wine and Cheese Socials. The PSA encourages all UCSF postdocs to become involved with its activities! Regular meetings are held each month, alternating between the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses.  All UCSF postdocs may attend. PSA meetings are a great way for you to make friends and have more fun while working as a Postdoc at UCSF. For more information about the PSA go to their website.
