The 2019 UCSF Grad Slam contest will culminate in an exciting live event, which will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2019, 4-6 p.m., at the UCSF Mission Bay campus in Genentech Hall Auditorium (with a live stream to N 225 at Parnassus). Seven to ten finalists will present their research in three minutes or less, in language accessible to a general audience. It's a celebration not only of the finalists and contest winner, but also of graduate research at UCSF and of scientific enquiry. As 2014 finalist Laura Simpson said, this is the closest thing UCSF has to a football game. As ever, there will also be an audience trivia contest and a full reception.
Note:The event will also be live-streamed to Parnassus (N 225) for those unable to attend at Mission Bay. The Parnassus audience will participate in the "people's choice" voting, and will enjoy a small reception while awaiting word of the judges' decisions.
