In the spring of 2017, the Associated Students of the Graduate Division (ASGD), in collaboration with Graduate Division staff, developed and administered a survey to gather data about PhD students’ perspectives about their mentors.
The ASGD has now published their report on the survey. Neuroscience graduate student and ASGD student affairs officer Rachel Care will present the survey results on behalf of the ASGD in a town hall event on April 17 at noon in Byers Auditorium in Genentech Hall. The entire campus community is welcome to attend.
The survey report includes several recommendations for actions that could address issues raised by students who responded to the survey, including improving mentor training as well as providing more support for students to help them get the most from their mentors.
