Brittany Anderton, PhD, Biomedical Sciences - Brittany Anderton is a Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow with the Institute for Food and Agricultural Literacy (IFAL) at the University of California, Davis, under the mentorship of Dr. Pamela Ronald. She investigates how scientists can better communicate about plant biotechnologies to non-scientists, including undergraduates and the general public.
Andrea CantuAndrea Cantu, PhD, Biomedical Sciences - Andrea is working as a biomedical life scientist at Leidos.
Alec CerchiariAlec Cerchiari, PhD, Bioengineering – Alec is now a research engineer at Cook Medical in Bloomington, IN, where he is focusing on research in medical devices, product development, and antimicrobial and antithrombogenic materials.

Scott Coyle, PhD, Tetrad – He was a 2015 recipient of the prestigious Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He is currently a founding scientist at Cell Design Labs, a San Francisco based biotherapeutics company.

Ryan DaltonRyan Dalton, PhD, Neuroscience - In 2015, Ryan was awarded a Miller Research Fellowship to do postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley under the mentorship of Dr. Diana Bautista. Ryan is interested in how the extraordinary diversity in cell types found in animals arises. As a Miller Fellow he aims to apply molecular genetic techniques to uncover the gene regulatory logic behind diversification of somatosensory neurons.
Adam ElkhaledAdam Elkhaled, PhD, Bioengineering - Adam is currently a postdoc with mentor Sarah Nelson here at UCSF.
Jonathan GableJonathan Gable, PhD, Biophysics – Jonathan is currently a scientist in the drug discovery group at Schrödinger, a scientific leader in developing state-of-the-art chemical simulation software for use in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research.
Srijib GoswamiSrijib Goswami, PhD, Pharmaceutical Science & Pharmacogenomics - Sirj is founder/CEO of Insight RX, a startup focused on leveraging pharmacometrics in a cloud-based software platform to enable precision dosing for healthcare practitioners in real time.
Charles GreenbergCharles Greenberg, PhD, Biophysics - Charles is currently a data scientist at San Mateo-based Lumiata, which develops medical AI technology to predict disease based on health records.
Christina HomerChristina Homer, PhD, Biophysics - Christina, a member of UCSF's Medical Scientist Training Program, has returned to medical school to complete her MD.
Trey JalbertLlewellyn (Trey) Jalbert, PhD, Bioengineering - Trey is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Surbeck Laboratory for Advanced Imaging at UCSF, where his research involves developing novel non-invasive biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of gliomas, a common form of terminal brain cancer. He is also a co-founder of SolidariTEA, a Bay Area based social venture company that produces bottled organic iced teas.
Natalia KhuriNatalia Khuri, PhD, Biophysics – Natalia is the educational program director of the UCSF-Stanford Center of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSI).
Bertram KoelschBertram Koelsch, PhD, Bioengineering – Bertram is working as a senior product scientist at 23andME, a privately-held company that helps people understand their own genetic information using recent advances in DNA analysis technologies. He also founded Tekla Labs, a global community that enables scientists to build DIY lab equipment.

Laurens KraalLaurens Kraal, PhD, Biological & Medical Informatics - Laurens is now a data science group leader at uBiome, an SF-based citizen science startup that sequences the human microbiome.

Taylor LaFlamTaylor LaFlam, PhD, Biomedical Sciences - Taylor, a member of UCSF's Medical Scientist Training Program, has returned to medical school to complete his MD.
