Clery Act
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 is part of the Higher Education Act. The goal of the Clery Act is to ensure that students, prospective students, parents and employees have access to accurate information about crimes committed on campus and campus security procedures.

Violence Against Women
UCSF places a high value on the safety of its community members. The UC Policy on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence prohibits all forms of sexual harassment and sexual violence, including sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. Additionally, California law prohibits acts of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence and stalking – these acts are crimes. Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Team
The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Team at UCSF provides proactive education and training about unlawful discrimination and harassment to the campus community; assists students, staff, faculty, and visitors to resolve conflicts involving discrimination and harassment; responds to complaints and oversees the process for resolution and investigation of complaints.
