Graduate Student Appreciation Week
The first week in April is Graduate Student Appreciation Week and we want to celebrate you! We are thankful for our graduate students who make UCSF a better place. This is a nationwide week, the goal of which is to celebrate the important role that graduate students play on campus. Thank you for being part of the Graduate Division!

Monday, April 3
Kick-off lunch and T-shirts
Noon: Kick off the week with lunch on Koret Quad at Mission Bay. Enjoy lunch and network with fellow students as we get the celebration started. Graduate students will also receive T-shirts.

Networking Event
Mastering the Art of Uncomfortability: How to Network.
3-4:30 p.m. Helen Diller 160. This workshop provides practical tips, as well as time to practice by meeting new people (there will also be snacks). Sponsored by Black Excellence in STEM (BE-STEM), Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) UCSF Chapter, Graduate and Postdoc Queer Alliance (GPQA) and UCSF Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD). Peer Teams Information Session
10-11 a.m. Virtual. In this info session, we'll introduce you to our Peer Teams model for facilitated small groups. This event does not require any active participation. Offered by the UCSF Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD). Learn more and register
Grad Slam
4-6 p.m. Join us at our annual Grad Slam competition at Genentech Hall. You won't want to miss the event where PhD students describe their research in three minutes or less. Get event details. Open to all in the UCSF community. No registration needed.
