Join us on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 4-6 p.m. PST, for our popular Grad Slam event, during which 10 PhD student finalists will present their research in three minutes or less, in language accessible to a general audience. It's a celebration not only of the finalists and contest winner, but also of graduate research at UCSF and of scientific inquiry.
Grad Slam will be a featured event in UCSF's celebration of Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
Cash prizes of $4,000, $2,000, and $1,000 will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners chosen by the panel of judges. And the audience will choose the "People's Choice" winner, who will receive $750.

In Person: Byers Auditorium, Genentech Hall, Mission Bay campus. Doors open to audience at 3:45 p.m. Light refreshments after the talks!
